A Kisumu court has sentenced a man to life imprisonment after being found guilty of committing incest with his 3-year-old daughter.
The man was sentenced by Winam law court principal magistrate Chrispine Oruo on Friday.
The prosecution, led by Mwende Kavindu, presented a total of six witnesses in the course of the hearing.
Oruo, while delivering the judgement, noted that he relied on the evidence availed before the court that the offender was related to the victim.
The court also relied on a medical report. According to the information shared out by doctors showed that the father raped the young girl. The man tried to defend himself but unfortunately justice was delivered and was jailed for life. Many incidents of fathers raping their own children had increased in the past and the Government is trying to sort out thy issue.
