President William Ruto will leave the country today for a four-day visit to two European countries, Germany and Belgium.
House Speaker Hussein Mohamed said the President will hold bilateral talks with German leaders on Sunday morning and will also deliver a keynote speech. “President William Ruto will leave the country today, Sunday, March 26, 2023, for a four-day visit to the Federal Republic of Germany and the Kingdom of Belgium,” excerpts from Hussein’s statement read.
minutes later, Hussein tweeted that the President’s trip would focus on “renewable energy, green industrialization and trade.”
Hussin says President will hold talks to strengthen bilateral ties with President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
“The President will also deliver a keynote speech at the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue, highlighting energy security challenges amid the deepening climate crisis and the focus on renewable energy investments,” he adds.
